the 4l80e/4l85e trans is essentially a turbo 400 with overdrive. the 4l80/85e rear cone bolt pattern is the same as a turbo 400, so the th400/np205 adapter works with little effort/modification. next the th400 output shaft is 32 spline and so is the 4l80/85e's. you will need to do your homework tho on which 4l80/85e tailshaft works best for you. I am using a 2wd 4l80/85e as it has the longest output shaft of the group by .500 if you look around on the net there is some info on this conversion, but if you read it most are hearsays. very few have actually tried or done the conversion. the last thing is you will need to run a lsx type motor to control the trans or get a separate trans controller. good luck and have fun.
