Not a limerick but the chorus to a Disney TV show about the adventures of John Horton Slaughter. One time Texas Ranger, Confederate veteran and later Arizona rancher and lawman. He was elected Sherrif of Cochise County AZ, serving 2 terms.
Tom Tryon played him in a TV series in 1958.
