The part we are looking at there is the fresh air intake for the crankcase. So the PCV valve will be in the other cover. The intake (fresh air) is usually in the back hole of that cover. In a couple of my trucks (big block) I changed the riser to a later model (thinner)and got creative with the tube to the riser from the cover. Either way for the PCV to work correctly it will need filtered air from somewhere.. Where is the PCV valve right now? plus I see no 3/8'' port for it in the base plate of the carb
