a hone job on these blocks will amaze you. I just got a 200K+ mile block back from the shop with a 400/200 hone and it looks (and mics) awesome.
down side to that of course is an actual bore-over will cost you an arm and a leg. my guy quoted "double" and I didn't even ask.

I think if I have to go as far as boreing the engine I'll go buy a new engine. I'm hoping just a hone will do the truck. I guess I won't know for a while. How much did your hone cost? When you put it back together did you get to reuse your stock pistons? This is all new to me but what is a 400/200 hone?
