Wow, awesome! I have a 71 Jimmy that has a rust free inner tub outside of some rusty rockers, and an awsome outer sheet metal 72 blazer (doors back).............. the 72 blazer has a tub that you could almost step through it's so rusted!
I have been looking at plasma cutters and MIG welders thinking this is something I need to get into! I am a seasoned mechanic but no body work experience and only experience is with gas torches which is too crude for what I am planning......doing what you are doing. The Blazer rear quarters are perfect and my Jimmy has been rear ended and filled with cracking out bondo. Any tips? Am I crazy? Body shops have quoted me insane prices for doing this................... Thanks for a reality check in advance...Jim
