I used a rattle can because that's all I have access to. Detroit Diesel Green, also known as Alpine Green. I think it was Duplicolor brand, but I don't remember the brand for sure. It's the closest match to the 292 and 327 color in rattle can form, and I like it better than painting the engine grey
