oh ok...
just got done watching the torque sequence video. I actually wanted to take the heads off to do the head gaskets since the motor has over 240k miles on it but the guys said its very rare for an ls motor to need head gaskets and the guy who owned the truck it came out of did lots on maintenance work on it...changed oil on time and everything. the truck it came out of was t boned by a semi but the engine still ran great.[/QUOTE]
Nah, no need to pull them. It just cost money to put back on. Those gaskets don't go bad very often at all. I only did it because I ported the heads and installed 4.8 flat top pistons.
