Let Us know. Thanks
It is exempt from bi-annual testing, but CA regs stipulate that all original SMOG equipment must be present and connected. I run EFI on my rig and SMOG pump is useless since ECM keeps fuel mixture near stoichiometric most of the time - not the same with a carb! The only reason why I want to keep SMOG (aka A.I.R.) pump is for visual compliance. My truck (medium duty) is over 6800 GVWR and was one of the last of production line to be certified for lead gas, no cats, no EGR configuration. Just the PVC, AIR and evap are required.
In LA county CARB have roadside checks for emission compliance - so one has to be very careful with these eco-idiots!
