The hard part is insuring that you still have some decent bump-travel once you set a nice low ride-height. Portal axles are notorious for only having 2-3" of bump travel due the the raised axletube heights which hit the oilpan, framerails, etc. That makes for a pretty miserable offroad wheeler.
After a LOT of struggles I ended up with 6" bump/ 8" droop (front) and 7" bump/ 9" droop out back.
