I got the silt fence up as it will be a while before I can get to building the actual wall.

The original plan was to dig a 2'x6" trench for the wall and fill it with gravel... but with as tight as it was next to the shop, and the fact that over half of the area next to the shop is solid rock that far down (literally, lots and lots of rock), we decided to undercut the whole thing 3" below the shop's foundation and fill the whole thing with stone and I'll pour a small footing for the wall instead.
