good question, you see that hole (plugged) in the inner fender beside the hole that the hose goes through......well, I can reach up under the fender to remove the lid of the reservoir, and place a hose in it attached to a funnel that goes through that other plugged hole.

I have been driving the truck for 3 years now, and have never needed to add coolant, so it really isn't THAT inconvenient to do, cause you don't need to do it very often. (look under the fender, and if the coolant level is about 1/2, then its fine)

I did it this way cause not only is space limited under the hood, but I did not want to see it.
