Re: 67 Camaro Build

After looking for an old tachometer to fit our build this beautiful Stewart Warner 970-B pedestal tachometer & 990-B ignition monitor became available. It has been professionally serviced/restored with a new glass lens and was tested prior to me.

I’ll tell you I was very nervous about testing it myself with the HEI in our K30. Frying this thing was not the plan, hooked it up with a Sun Super Tach II to see how it performed vs that tach. It does seem a little slow to respond vs the Sun but does get there and reads exactly to within in a few hundred. Not to bad for 50-year-old technology.
