I just bought David Vizard CBB engine book from Amazon about rebuilding.

Thx all for the encouragement and perspective!
As a previous person, I tool did not see that you are working on a big block. Basically I was just saying that if you are nervous about doing any kind of work on this motor that this is normal, but that does not mean you cannot learn how to do this work, heck we all had to learn one way or another. Getting this book and reading it (not just looking at the pics... lol) will help give you some insight into how is all works, no matter if you are doing a cam swap, timing chain replacement, carb swap or complete engine overhaul. Educate yourself, it will make you feel better about it and inspire confidence in yourself. if you have questions, post them on here. I have ask many a question on this site and damn there are alot of great people on here that will help you. I have faith in you and your daughter!!
