Good chemical to remove glue and trim.

I just purchased an 84 GMC SWB and the trim on it was faded badly and needed to come off. I have used Castrol Super Clean in the purple bottle many times for cleaning and de-greasing, so I decided to give it another try. I had pulled one piece of trim off already and was getting ready to take a razor blade to the left over glue/tape. I sprayed it down with Super Clean to remove the excess dirt and minimize scratches.

Well, as soon as I wiped it with a rag, I noticed the glue had almost turned to a gel. So I went all the way around the truck and sprayed the rest of the trim to let it soak before I pulled it off. I let it sit for about 10 minutes and the trim pulled/fell right off! Just a little more cleaning and wiping, and a little razor blade, and the truck looked ten times better. I rubbed a little cleaning compound on the paint where the trim used to be and it came very clean.

Works great on engine detailing as well. Just wanted to share with everyone.
