Thanks @HO455, I still have the original 67-70 crossmember installed, so it sounds like from the post I can use either spindle I choose as long as I get the ball joints & tie rods to match the year of that spindle. Is that right?

Given that, which direction is preferred? Is there any benefit either way, or should I just stick with the smaller ball joints in the later-model spindle (which are already pressed into my control arms)?
