A lot of odd ingredients actually work very well. I put anchovies and grape jelly in my BBQ sauce and you would never guess that they were in there.

Nope, no sour milk in my Chocolate cake....

I don't have access to real sour milk any more. (don't use the pasturized stuff) so I use Buttermilk. It tastes just as good and I can get it at the grocery store. If you can't find Buttermilk you can use whole milk and vinegar mixed..... I made some cookies yesterday afternoon.... YUMMM!
