5 days till car show. still have never driven the truck.
had to remove the transmission to fix an oil leak. When I put the engine together I tightened the rear cover first, then bolted the oil pan up. The rear cover hung down past the mating surface of the pan, a la leak city. Rookie move.
Problem: occasionally when moving the truck around the shop the torque converter would " lock" and either stall the engine or worse, try to drive through the brakes and into whatever it was that was in front of me.
since the trans was out I took it back to the builder and had him add a different valve in the pump. I guess its a common issue with 4l80e's and big billet converters.
