I would run the highest you can with still keeping the highway RPMs at a reasonable level - FOR YOU. If you think spinning at 3grand on the highway is cool go with whatever rear ratio yields that RPM at 65mph.

On a 465 is 4th gear a 1:1 or OD? Never had a manual tranny...
