Fired up yesterday..

It's been almost 1 year since I heard my truck run. I pushed a head gasket out last time at the track and since then I have been doing a few things to make it go a little bit faster. Well, last night we fired it up for a few minutes. Still have a bit to do to make it drivable again, but, it feels good to hear her run again..

Re: Fired up yesterday..

Been doing a bunch of other things. Truck has definately been on the back burner.

I just ordered pedals and masters for the car. Since the motor is in the back seat, we needed to move me to the trunk. Well, at least that what it seems like. We were originally going to keep the factory colum and pedals, but I don't think that will work. I also like to sit closer to the wheel than most so it would have been real tight for me. We moved the driver seat almost even with the back of the driver window.

I know what you mean about the "back burner" ...after getting the engine & tranny removed from my "C10 project" I got into "other things" and haven't done anything at all to it since last Summer and will probably not do much to it anytime in the near future.

No doubt picking up the El Camino has distracted me somewhat. Being I use it as I daily driver I plan to concentrate on the El C until I can get some more things done. Planning on finishing the restoration of the interior, bodywork/paint and possibly an engine (350 - 4 bolt) & 4 speed swap (currently a V6 - 3 speed manual).

Looking forward to seeing you truck on the road/strip again. Have been a big "fan" of your project since you first posted the videos of it.

BTW... LOVE the fiberglass frontend
