57 rear cab panel replacement

Has anyone replaced the entire rear cab panel on a 55-59 truck? How involved is it?

I'm contemplating replacing mine, it has rusted out cab corners and the back of the cab is pretty beat up as well.

Re: 57 rear cab panel replacement

I replaced the rear cab panel without too much trouble. If you take your time and drill out the spotwelds you can have the panel off in a couple of hours. The new panel fit pretty well. Getting the roof panel to match up and then spotweld was probably the worst part. Very happy with the finished product. I changed from a small to big back window so it solved multiple problems. Good luck!

Thanks for the response. As long as I can buy one without paying an arm and a leg on shipping, I think that is the route I'll go.
