engine wire harness question

can i use the engine wire harness out of my manual 4 speed,and use it in an automatic conversion.and what is the electric looking thing on right side of tranny,between dipstick and vacume mod?

what type automatic are you putting in the electric hookup could be for a lockup converter not sure though

i think you can use yours ,but you will not have back up lights . i think the switch different.

Mike that is for the emmisions control setup used back in 71/72then. GMCPaul has a good explanation of it but for your application don't worry about it. The tranny will operate just fine.

so is the reverse lights on the auto column? and it is a th350. thanks jeff thats one less thing i have to worry about.
