Question Are O.E. 16.5" 6-lug Blazer wheels worth anything???

I just parted with a '71 Blazer that was ordered with optional 10X16.5X6 Tires (option # 1RR2AN) and were put on factory steel wheels that look to be at least 8" wide.........probably had dog-dish hub caps at one time.
I had put 15X8 truck ralleys on the Blazer to dress it up and sell it.
The original wheels (with tires) are taking up space in my garage.
Should I try to sell them to a "purist" or just take them to the dump ???
Thank you for any opinions

First, welcome to the board. Post some pictures of your rig when you get a chance. It looks pretty cool in your avitar.

If they are not split rims, yes, they are worth saving. I'm sure that someone near you would be willling to take them off your hands.

Click the "post reply" button. Below the area where you put your reply, you will see the "Additional Options" section. Click the "manage attachments" button and locate our images. They'll need to be within the size requirements to make them attachments. If they are over, you can either size them using an image editing program like photoshop (or I believe you can do it in MS Paint but I'm an Apple guy) or you can host them on a site like photobucket and use the image button above the reply field to but the link to the image.

WELCOME!! Is that your Blazer(JIMMY?)Itsh Shweeeet!
I`d like to see those. If they weren`t too much,I`d like to have them.16.5s for 8-lug are fairly undesireble these days.So too alot, they won`t be desireable.I(and others)just like stuff like that.Shipping kills wheel deals alot of the time, especially steel.Definately don`t junk them.I`d take them for the shipping.
(I had a pair of these in 5-lug on the back of a`71 8-footer)

SPECIAL-K........
Thanks for the response...........I think the shipping ALONE would probably be more than the wheels are worth. The last time I shipped 4 wheels to Montana the shipping was 150.00 ( and they were definately LIGHTER than these !! ) I'm just wondering if anyone in the North Georgia area would want to pick these up for maybe $20.00 (beer money) and get them outta my way!!

Re: Are O.E. 16.5" 6-lug Blazer wheels worth anything???

There are ways to get things around on this board, may not need to ship.Maryland`s not all that far from GA,really.
I knew they are 6-lug.I was refering to the common 8-lug 16.5 just to make the point about 16.5s being fairly undesireable.I`d think,to the right person, they`d be worth a good bit.
