Mounting the computer in a LS swap

Time to start on the electrical part of my LS swap into the cameo. For those of you that have done this, what did you use to mount the computer and where? I'm thinking on the left inner fender under the brake booster but should I leave it out in the open? Anyone get the mount from another vehicle or aftermarket?

I'm putting an LS2 in my 57 and I'm going to do my best to get it inside the cab behind the seat. If that doesn't work then possible under the dash.

mine is under the drivers feet under the cab.

grab a 2001+ s-10 computer mount. It has a clip setup that locks onto the computer and provides 3 mounting holes.

i'll see if i can get a picture of mine...

Another problem solved by the great people on this site. Can't we all get together and drink too much beer sometime? Thanks

Re: Mounting the computer in a LS swap

I ran the wiring through the floor on the passenger side and it will be under the seat in my 56. I'm going to mount the ALDL and light under there as well.

Re: Mounting the computer in a LS swap

You can put them just about anywhere, they are very weather resistant. they are in the engine compartment on chevy p/u's.

On my turbo panel I ran the wire through the trans tunnel & up the firewall. I removed a couple of the factory cover screws and attached angle iron, then attached to firewall.
