4L80E expert needed

98 K3500 rclb snow plow truck, 216138mi on trans #7 which is a Movarus rebuilt unit 2340 mi ago, has new TCI reverse band and Sonnex reverse improver kit this go around. Fluid is clean/pink and slightly above full warm, possibly 1/2 pint over.
I only have reverse and 3rd after 126 mi. Park, neutral, and 3rd gear only even manually. All fuses check good and speedometer reads fine as does the shift indicator.
I know default is 2nd gear but road test says 2000-2100 rpm at 65 mph, 2750-2850 rpm at 78 mph in this 3.73 geared 245/75R16E tire vehicle which is gear 3. Shifting to low range does not change how it shifts either.
The converter clutch seems to be working normally but delayed, likely due to the full throttle needed to get moving.
Ideas anyone?
