Hey guys, I need some help.
The little clip that is inside the indent on the clutch fork and is supposed to snap over the clutch fork pivot ball is giving me a hard time. It installs into the clutch fork, but I can't get the fork to snap over the ball once the retainer is installed. I broke the original and had to order another since nobody has them locally. Am I doing this the wrong way, or does anyone have any special tricks?

I just put a little grease on the pivot ball, & swat the fork with a rubber mallet. hope that helps.....crazyL

That's what I tried, and it broke the ring. Maybe the new one will be stronger.

Hm, this one is an oldie. I never followed up to this thread way back then, but for some reason I remember I bought it from Classic Parts (back then I think it was called Chevy Duty, same company). It was good quality and installed with no breakages.
