Option codes for typing out my new glove box sticker

I'm about 2 days from painting my glove box door. That means i'll be doing a sticker for it in a few weeks. Where can I get an option code book or something where I can look and see what options i'm putting on my truck and the correct codes and descriptions to type on the sheet. Also, is there order in how the options are listed? Numerical? Engine 1st, Trans 2nd, Trim 3rd, ect? My trucks not going to be an original CST, but i want it as close as possible.

Thanks

Give GMCPaul a call. He has some other things you'll be interested in knowing, such as using a manual typewriter so that the letters show up on the type of paper the option sheet is made out of. He also has the clear protector to go over it when installed, if you need one.

If you can find it, pick up a copy of "The Red Chevrolet Book". It has all the options listed for all years of our trucks. They're out of print, so good luck. I got mine (used) from Amazon.Com.

This is a large file to download (714K). It is a multi-page tiff file. If you have Windows98 or newer, you can read it with included software. If you have Win95, you'll need to find something that views multipage tiff files. If you're a Mac guy, I'm sorry.

162.42.19.10/pics/bowen/6772/69/books/69ck10.tif -- it would probably be best to right-click the link and do a "Save".

The file is a scan of the "resto packet" that you get from Chevrolet. This particular file only contains 1969 C/K 10 info. You should be able to get the option codes from there.

low69cst,

Hey, my 69 has 21 options (not a CST, but it is a Custom Deluxe) and still has the orginal sticker. So I may be able to help you out with a some of the codes. Do you have a list of what you want to put on the sticker?

I want A/C, AM-FM, Front Swaybar, I think some models came with a locker option and 4.10 gear option, i'd like those if possible, they may have only been available in a CST-20, so I don't know. The other thing I don't know is when I put the CST code on, how many other codes that replaces. Like is A/C included in CST option code, if it is, then I shouldn't need to list A/C serpately. So, I don'tknow, I heard of a 69 CST original sittin in Louisville, i'm tryin to get my friend to go look at it so I can snap a picture of the glove box sticker.

But A/C, P/S, P/B, Front sway bar, AM-FM, Tach dash, all the gauges, if anyone has these option code and descriptions, i'd like to have them, just to start a data base.

Man I had this whole note typed in and touched the wrong keys and it all got lost. Not even sure what I did.

Here we go again....

Low69cst, My truck has some of the options you need listed. It has a/c, ps, pb (drum), 350-4, t400 auto, 3.73, hd rear springs, carpet, AM Radio, Custom cloth interior, Custom Deluxe appearance, Upper & Lower moldings, Jr RV mirror, day/night rearview, HD Cooling, and tires. Maybe something else can't remember....

It will be the middle of next week before I can post these, since I may not get a chance to post over the weekend. Monday I will be at Boy Scout camp (Camp McKee) with my troop. I plan on being back at work Tuesday. If your in a hurry, send me a phone # and I'll call you after I get home from work ~4:30-5. I'm just up in georgetown so it probably isn't long distance..........

The AM/FM radios weren't available until 71/72. You coudld use the option codes from those years. But if you want it correct you will need to leave the radio out.
