Smile pics of A/C and heater boxes needed

Can anyone post pics of their heater boxes or their AC boxes for me? I need to see what the correct ones look like on a real truck instead of a manual. Also, can the heater and AC run independently of each other if one is not hooked up? Say if the truck is set up for factory air and doesn't have all the air parts, can the heat be used anyway? Pulling my hair out......

The inner heater box is easy to distinguish, it has the heater core mounted inside the truck. Then a diverter box mounted to that and the floor heater vent bolts to that. Look in any LMC book and they will show you the actual physical sizes and shapes. I would say that none of your heater stuff will cross over. Maybe some calbes, but would probably be the wrong lengths and not be as clean.

yes the heater will work without the a/c being connected. i have run a ton of cars and trucks over the years with the a/c either removed or inop and the heater has always worked.
