eBay Trailer Hitch

Anyone else using this cheapo trailer hitch? I don't think it's going to work with my sport bumper and must only fit a roll pan?

Re: eBay Trailer Hitch

maybe its just me but i try to avoid ebay for stuff like that id buy a Reese or a Kurt and it will work with sport or step bumpers and its one piece. That is too easy to break a bolt when it starts shifting from the load of a trailer and cargo

Is it worth your trailer?

Re: eBay Trailer Hitch

I bought and installed a store bought hitch then later after a bumper change had a custom hitch built and installed for less then the years earlier store bought hitch.
1st hitch involved buying it and lugging it home, drilling a couple of holes, some cussing, and minor blood loss but it did the job.
2nd hitch involved showing the hitch guy what I wanted, getting a quote, leaving the truck while a friend and I had a long lunch, picking the truck up, and paying. Its still doing the job.
My recommendation is talk to a local custom hitch shop after you install your sport bumper.

etrailer.com has nice deals on hitches. Uhaul will install hitches on just about anything.

Re: eBay Trailer Hitch

Personally, i would never trust a hitch off of ebay (probably CHiNa). I would only buy a brand name like Reese.
