What Booster Braces Do I Need

This is a picture of my new booster (first Picture) that I am installing next week .

The (second picture) is of a used booster that has both braces on it .

Question : do I need both braces or just one or none with this new smaller booster ?

{{thx to teeitup for the good photo to use for my question.}}

If you were driving it every day I would say use the braces. If it is an occasional ride I wouldn't worry about them. My original '68 with the small booster doesn't have them.

Just my 2¢ worth...

I would think with 25,000 miles on your truck with out braces ,that should be a pretty good test.. My miles I put on my truck are all highway miles on pretty smooth roads so again thx for the input ..
