Re: My new project 46
most people drop in a 350 small block chevy, a Mustang II front end, a Ford 9" rear end - pretty cookie cutter stuff.
your's appears to be a 1 or 2 ton, since it's a dually, which means a lowrider style would look goofy since the frame is so much longer. I've seen guys make some pretty nice flat bed haulers out of those...your choices are endless. I say put the other two wheels on the rear axel and build yourself a nice flat bed dually! I'm pretty sure the 1.5 tons have the same cab as the halftons. Maybe sit it on a S-10 frame?

Re: My new project 46
Or you could put it on a mid 90's dually 2wd or 4wd! A friend is doing it with 55-59's looks sweet with alcoa rims.

Re: My new project 46
these are all great ideas, I noticed that the wheels are 20`s on there now and they look HUGE on here. How do you guys think it would look with the big ole diesel truck rims on it chrome the bed is just so large the idea of a dually or s10 might be a option as well....keep the ideas coming, this is what makes these so much fun to do is everyones input on it.

Re: My new project 46
Personally I'd go 'heavy duty' on the frame build/swap and make a car hauler out of it, keeping in mind that that would call for a V8 engine transplant.

Re: My new project 46
Yeah that is under consideration also, because it has a beefy frame on it, I guess a newer rear end and v8 would do the trick, I just wonder if there is enough room under the hood for a big block or not?

Re: My new project 46
I was at the Good Guys car show a couple weekends ago and there were a couple pre 47's that had sbc's in them. It looked like a bb would fit, but it would be close

Re: My new project 46
if you try and start it i'd change all the fluids go get a qt of mystery oil and pour some in the cylinders and let it set for a few days new plugs and all that good stuff
