Pulled apart a '71 3/4T front end today-it looks like the General used a white/yellow paste threadlocker on the a-arm nuts. What is everyone using when reassembling? Loctite red?

Im assuming you mean the large nuts on the ends of the cross shafts on the solid type(no bushings). No threadlocker, the shaft has to turn in the nut during suspension travel. I suppose some loc-tite between the nut and the arm itself couldnt hurt, Id use blue there but truthfully, if its torqued right shouldnt need anything.

Now, if it is the bushing type, although I thought 3/4 tons were the solid steel type, Id use red on the nuts.

No bushings. What I was seeing was on the external thread between the nut and the arm itself.

You're thinking blue just for future removal?

Yeah, red would work also.

Now LS 5.3, rather than 327. DD '09 Pilot Weekender '65 Skylark 300-4V-4 speed Wife's '07 Lexus ES350; 117 actuator motors and I can't see the engine. Son's '04 F250 SuperCab 6.0
