Re: need fuel tank float

All I remember about floats is to get the metal ones (brass or copper?) instead of plastic.

The plastic ones seem to always crack, fill with gas and sink permanently.

Sorry I couldn't be more help, but I know I've seen photos of the "good" kind on the interweb somewhere....

Re: need fuel tank float

the brass one is what I am looking for. Ordered 2 from GMCPauls so I would have an extra but they both got backordered. My wife called me at work today to say I had a package in the mail so I was ready to install the tank tonight but guess all I can do is wait.

Re: need fuel tank float

The brass ones are the ones that fail, I got a plastic one and modified it and never had a issue since.

Re: need fuel tank float

mine doesn't show accurate on the gauge but I kinda know where full is and empty is. Is my float bad or can it be adjusted?
