Scott bolt in Super Slam IFS install

Hey guys I just wanted to post up some pictures of the install of this Super Slam IFS from Scotts. When he said bolt in he really means it. It took me 3.5 hours from start to finish mock up. I put it all together minus the rotors and calipers for mock up expecting to find some issues. You know the typical cut a little here, grind here and there, bang this and that. Well not here. I was pleased with the fit, and the quality of how it all went together. Well enough blabbin here are some pics.

Re: Scott bolt in Super Slam IFS install

After the mock up I pulled it all apart and preped and painted all the parts. They are now installed back on the burb. I will post up a picture tomorrow of the finished product. It got dark on me today and could not get a clear pic with the lighting in the garage. I am very satisfied with the kit, so much that I pulled off the Porterbuilt rear drop member that the burb had and ordered Scotts rear Super Slam!! It should be here in a couple of days. I cant wait.
Let me know what you guys think or if you have any questions.
Later guys.
Juan

Looks great. What are the plans with the rear Porterbuilt set-up? I would be interested if you sell it.

Re: Scott bolt in Super Slam IFS install

well I started the install of the rear super slam kit. I pulled the frame out from under the truck to clean it up and paint it so that it all looks good. I cut the rear DM out. I did the weld in kit so cutting it out was the only option. I really didnt like the kit once it was all installed. I could never really get it all adjusted and tweeked. I scraped, power washed and preped the frame so I can weld in the boxing plates for the 4 link. Frame is sitting level and at ride height and ready. I will post up more pics when I get it going.

Later
Juan

Re: Scott bolt in Super Slam IFS install

Dude you won't regret it. It's a nice set up. I hope to have the rear done Saturday. I have to work the next two days so I just get to stare at it. Lol
Did you get a front or rear? Or both?

Re: Scott bolt in Super Slam IFS install

My mom lives in destin. She was driving from mobile to destin when we talked. My dad grew up on nine mile road, hes buried at the NAS cemetary, and when we come home about once every two years i take my kids to the NAS museum. My grandpa worked in the mobile shipyards. Some of my best memories are in that town. If i ever get out of this cold white north, pensacola would be high on the list.

Love the burb btw, i have a wannabe burb A.K.A. Travelall

Juan, I got a front kit for my 66 I'm starting on, 5x5, and few other little needed things to tie all the other stuff in with it. I am super stoked about it even more after seeing yours.

Justin, thanks so much, and I seriously cant wait....prepping the frame this weekend so I can mock it up shortly after its arrival and start shoppin for a motor and tranny....

Will eventually start a thread on it...got a buddy building a 72 c20 on here that would never forgive me if I dont
