This truck aint big enough for the both of us...
I mean me and my subs, I have a 96 single cab k1500. I am going insane not having subs, but being 6'3'' I don't really have the option of moving the seat up and putting the sub behind the seat. I'd love to build a box to fit behind the seat in the full back position, but I feel overwhelmed going at it blindly, anyone ever attempt this? have blueprints or plans for one? have any advise? any help much appreciated.

get some cardboard and go to town. When you come up with something that works for you you can take the measurements and transfer it over to mdf or whatever and build your box. Shallow subs have come a long way in the past few years also.

I am running 2 12" regular subs in shallow mount boxes with the backs cut out so they fit perfectly behind the seat! Might be something to think about. I don't have my seat slid all the way forward to make them fit either. Can get some pics if you really want me to?

I was able to do the same minus cutting holes, the passenger seat is at basically a 90 degree angle buuuut I have a car for road trips, the trucks just for cruising.

i'm not sure how much room you have in these new trucks, but i was able to get 2 amps, one 10'' sub and my battery
behind the seat in my 58 and have the seat all the way back to the window with modifications this design would work in any truck, follow the interior build link in my signature. easy peasy

Man, that turned out nice. I have a single amp and 2 10" to fit behind mine eventually.
