Bucket seats

Can anyone tell me what these seats originally came from, they were in my 72 Jimmy but not stock according to Spid

They probably came in your Jimmy. They are correct 71/72 seats.

Anyone know what year trucks required head rests? That's the break point (67ish) that I use to identify car buckets, but of course doesn't work for trucks.

My Jimmy had black interior is why i said not orginal, but yes I guess they could have been recovered.

They look like they could be truck buckets. The Jimmy / Blazer would have had plastic backs. WES

71-72 buckets GM truck/blazer/burb. Many seat backs are broken, missing, or replaced after all the years. I have a set of buckets that someone made the backs out of 1/2" plywood and they did a great job reproducing the factory look.

Dave, the model year 1992 is when the General put headrest on the seat of pick up trucks.
