Anybody tired of snowballs?
We have had a mild winter in Illinois (my spot anyway), but did not need 12" of snow in 24hrs! My neighbor , stuck his car in the bottom of our shared drive, so I call the plow driver? He comes up after we get most the mess out from under the car (shovel), & back drags the snow roll from the city plows....good to go, the car backs out & the driver starts plowing. He gets the plow stuck on the back end of the drive! Then it takes 6 of us , myself & son, 4 neighbors to dig out the plow truck! are we having fun yet? Longhorn

Re: Anybody tired of snowballs?
Isn't it wonderful ! I snow blowed the 12 inches of snow on my double drive and the plow truck flew bye and put up a 3 foot tall berm. Now I've got slush and ice to move so we can get out. I love winter

Re: Anybody tired of snowballs?
Doesn't sound like much fun but I wish we had that snow and a lot more. We're in another back-to-back drought year and desperately need 2-3 feet of rain (not in 24 hours though!) and 20-30 feet of snow in the high country.

Re: Anybody tired of snowballs?
I live where winter gets cold and we can't expect to survive w/o precipitation, so I'll never cuss snow. I like it. Tonight it will be 34 for the low and rain all night. I can't think of more miserable weather than that. I'll take snow over rain, sleet, and freezing rain any day. The snow is trying to teach people patience, so the world needs to take a deep breath, let it slow you down, and enjoy it.

Re: Anybody tired of snowballs?
I really felt , for the plow driver....crap he is in the middle of commercial contracts, that make good money, yet he stopped to bail my azz out! He was paid better that trip....but I doubt that it was anything close to what he would make ,on the next big job? But as a good man , he said" you guys did not bail on me" And we will not! Longhorn

We have 13" of new snow with a 30 mile an hour wind. I will wait to clean the drives until the wind stops blowing.... I don't have to go anywhere. LockDoc

Re: Anybody tired of snowballs?
I have to agree, the freezing rain is the worst! I don't mind the snow too much, in small quantities .....would be glad to send some of it down south tho! Longhorn

Re: Anybody tired of snowballs?
I can't wait for the next big snowstorm. Big boy toys make them a lot more fun. I was disappointed with how little snow we actually got in my part of IL.
