New Products from Dakota Digital

While at SEMA, we had sat down with Dakota Digital to see what is coming up in the future. They will be offering the VHX with a black face & white LED lighting for the guys that might have a vehicle color that clashes with the now available red or blue LED lighting. Below is a picture of what it will look like once available. Black face w/ orange needles & white LED lighting for the numbers.

In the mean time, the black background is available with red or blue LED lighting, as an alternative to the silver alloy or carbon fiber look. This can be ordered now, but does take appx. 6 weeks from today, since it isn't a standard gauge background as of yet. Red or Blue LED lighting.

They have also added a new climate control module for the Vintage Air setups, being a 3-knob style.

We have been a Dakota Digital dealer for some time now, so we are more than happy to help you with any Dakota Digital products. We are very familiar with their products.

Soon to be released black face w/ white LED lighting:
Sample shown is a 40 Ford Car gauge set.

Now Available black face w/ red or blue LED lighting:

What's the difference between the DC2500 and the DC3000, besides the knobs?

They are expected to ship middle of January, and we have already taken orders for these with the black backgrounds.

Unfortunately I don't, since these are the images I took at SEMA of the sets they had on display. The pricing will be the same as their other backgrounds and lighting colors (PM Sent). Expected to ship middle of January.

Nothing.... same function, just the 3-knob setup vs. the single knob w/ display.

Yeah, if it's still in the box, new condition and re-sellable.... I have no problem doing that for you. We will be closed for the holidays, but let's touch base after, and I will get you all squared away.

Re: New Products from Dakota Digital

Those are some nice looking gauges. Any chance DD would be able to reface my blue CF gauges for my GTO? Haven't installed it yet so it would be easy to send back for a reface, or swap if it would be easier. I've opened the box and some of the packaging so a full swap wouldn't be possible.

Just checked, and since your display is new and not installed, we can just get the display swapped for you. Just be the shipping cost on the replacement one going to you. They are running GTO gauges soon, so let me know ASAP, and might be able to get it squeezed in on the next run.

Let's do it. Just let me know where I need to send it and what I'll need to pay.

No extra charge to swap out the face, just cover shipping going back to you ($24). PM sent with details of sending it back. Should be appx. middle of January when it is ready to ship back, but the sooner they get yours the better.

Re: New Products from Dakota Digital

Any experience with the dakota digital electric fan controller? Curious about it, for use on my 283 in the 60 wagon.

Yes, and it is a great module. I am going to be running one on my truck, and can setup the fans to come on individually at different temperatures, etc. This way, you can run only one fan if needed, and when if it gets hotter, the second fan will kick in. It can even run the fans after the engine is off for a user set length of time.

Thanks Travis. Can you shoot me a price on that controller.

i think i read that it does not come with a temp sender. My setup now only has a mechanical gauge. If i put an autometer electric gauge with sender in it will that sender also work with the dakota digitials fan controller.

Re: New Products from Dakota Digital

I just installed the fan controller on my truck also and love it! It is only a little larger than a credit card and about 0.75" thick. I already had the VHX gauges so that made setting it up that much easier. With the VHX gauges it will also shut off the fans at a certain speed so they are not running when you are going down the interstate.

It will work with most Autometer gauges and their sending units, typically the older style ones. Dakota Digital or myself don't know of the exact sending units it works with, since they make multiple, but most are good. Thus far, I know it won't work with their PN 2252 sending unit. So, if the gauge you are buying uses that one, it won't work.

You can however purchase a DD sending unit that will work for $15. This would keep you from having to buy a new gauge.

Nice! I really like how all the DD products talk with each other and have so many add on options available.

Re: New Products from Dakota Digital

Dakota Digital just released a new version of the 67-72 gauges, that now has a analog clock. The digital clock is still an option. We of course, have 2 coming for stock of the new analog version and have the digital version in already in stock.

Let us know if we can help you out.

I like that a lot. I had vhx gauges in my 68 and never saw a need for that center led display. That analog clock option is perfect!
