1991 Chevy Sport project
Hi all.
I just bought this 1991 Chevy Sport and am planning on rebuilding it and getting it back on the road. It will need a lot of work and time but hopefully it will be worth it in the end. I am not a mechanic so i will have to learn a lot but that is one of the biggest reasons for buying this truck. Here are a couple of pics. I am really looking forward to starting this project and will probably have a ton of questions. Eric |

Re: 1991 Chevy Sport project
Thanks Scott.
Got her running yesterday after changing some fuel lines so now i dont have to tow it into the shop when i want to work on it Got the box off and ripped the interior out today. The floor doesnt look bad at all so basically i will only need cab corners, rocker panels fix a couple of small holes in the floor. I will start with the floor to get some practise welding. |

Looks like a good foundation to start with.. Good luck with the rebuild. Picked up a 1992 short wide myself and will be doing the same.

Looks like a great truck to start with. I am still building my 91 longbed.

Re: 1991 Chevy Sport project
Love the sports,I have a 91 swb that served dd duty for a couple of years. She is parked in the weeds right now,my 9 year old son has claimed it for his first truck. The plan is to drag it in when he turns 13,probably do a body off the frame restoration.

Nice truck txwildman, your interior looks like it is in great shape.
I will be doing a frame off resto too....really love the look of these trucks, especially when they have been lowered |

Re: 1991 Chevy Sport project
Thanks but the truck had horrible interior when I brought it. I put the bucket seats, console door panels and dash all from a donor tuck and it changed the look in the cab from that old bench seat and cracked dash LOL!!
