Just picked up a 59,67,69,77 chevy, gmc ford, 1/2 3/4 ton

Snow finally got low enough to go pick this one up. Been waiting on it for a couple of months but the snow kept falling. I bet it was a good looking truck when it was first done. V-8, 4bbl 4 speed. It was driven out of the snow bank the day before i got there and can't get it running again... Too cold to mess with today.
Story goes it is a 77 blazer frame with 3/4 ton axles, ford front hubs, gmc front bumper, 67 steering column, 69 cab and a 59 box. Johnny cash would be proud.
Enjoy the pics.

Couple more. The original 69 truck was probably pretty sharp in its day.

I agree. I think when it was first done it probably looked good.

Its kind of a tough looking truck. First thing (if it ever warms up... teens today and another 5-8" of snow possibly coming) is to get it running and driving. That will decide the fate. It sat for 3 years and the PO put a battery in and it started right up and drove out of the snowbank. I went to pick it up the next day and it would pop, but wouldn't start. I siphoned most of the gas out and put fresh in and it doesn't even pop now... Like there is no spark. That is as far as i got.

Seat cover is aftermarket. Owner must not have been a purist

Isn't that called a saddle blanket cover? It shows saddle on the spid. The paint all matches on the outside, so it must be original yet.

johnny cash reference. Sat for 3 years, how much gas (most def. bad) in the tank? He probably drove it out of the snow with the gas in the line. You're probably kidding, but SPID Saddle refers to the color of the vinyl/seat underneath. Pinstripes look clean.

Nice

you might want to check for some condensation in the dist cap/wires , I have had the same experience we moved a outfit , getting ready to load , all hadies broke loose in a storm , went in had a cup of joe , came out half hour latter , no spark , grand son had left hood kinda up not latch , water condensed in cap and around , the little elections were doing the spark dance and the mufflers doing the boom boom , lol

The gas i got out of the tank wasn't good, but wasn't bad.
I was poking fun at tim with the saddle reference...
