Question for the buddy bucket guys

Just wondering, does the replacement foam for the buddy buckets make you sit higher than the original foam? Because the seat frames were encapsulated in the foam originally, you were probably only sitting on a couple inches of foam. The replacement foam sits on top of the springs and they look to be the same overall thickness as original so they would have to be hollowed out on the underside for the same seating height. Is this how they are made? Thanks.
