12v help with wiring

https://goo.gl/photos/ugN4prKLVc5LykYQ8I am helping a buddy wire up his 54 bel air. He purchased a ron francis wiring kit. We are trying to get the car to fire, it will turn over but not fire up. Can anyone help me with where I am going wrong? I will attach a photo to see what we have. Thanks!

Re: 12v help with wiring

HEI, points, or something else?

HEI: 12V to the right connector.
Points: 12V to coil at start, then somewhat less to the coil via a resister wire from the solenoid R terminal if I recall. Been a while since I saw points. The other side of the coil connects to the points. You need clean, gapped points and a good condenser (capacitor).
Other: probably like the HEI but who knows?

Re: 12v help with wiring

Have you converted the voltage to 12 volts from the original six volts and what ignition system are you using stock or something else?

Re: 12v help with wiring

Everything was changed over for the 12v and was running before took it apart for painting. We are getting it to turn over but it seems like its not firing. Maybe not grounded well enough? Have battery - going to engine and bolt on radiator support.
