Original interior colours - Toyota??

Morning All,

I remember seeing a thread a while back which gave the modern equivalent of the interior colours on a 66.

From memory they were Toyota but I cant find the thread. Did anybody book mark it or can remember the colours for the doors and dash/cab?

Thanks,

P.

My truck is not a numbers matching restoration, just want something that is a close approximation.

Have asked my local paint shop to mix me up a small batch as well as 1963 Oldsmobile Sahara Mist and GM MED DARK FAWN SUEDE FLAT to see what I prefer.

Will be picking the paint up on Friday so will report back.

Re: Original interior colours - Toyota??

Dredging this one up from the depths....

I could really do with some help chaps.

Picture above is the original dash colouration for Woody, you will notice that the ash tray and glovebox are a dark brown with the rest of the dash being a dark fawn/light brown.

I was originally going to repaint the dash top the same brown as the glovebox but 2 things happened.

1. I hated the colour

2. It reacted really badly so I have stripped it back to have another go.

Now, done a search and read all of the posts but the challenge is that the paint selection that is mentioned by others tend not to be available in the UK.

I am using the Nissan Sunlit Sand for the light colour in the cab - looks really nice, very happy with it - but does anybody have the equivalent colour for the top of the dash from a modern vehicle?

I tried to get my local paint shop to mix up GM colours but lets just put it like this...expensive and a mistake.

This is not a restoration I just want to keep the original 'feel'.

Would appreciate any input on this rather well trodden path but please bear in mind I am in the UK so a lot of the options I found via Google are not available to me.

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year!

P.
