70 2wd blazer disc brakes

Have a '70 2wd blazer with stock drum front brakes (manual). Like to stay as original as possible, but these brakes got to go. Will adding booster do the trick (stock 350 engine) Or could I just swap over a whole 71/72 c-10 front disc brake suspension with booster etc.

Re: 70 2wd blazer disc brakes

A booster with drums will make a world of difference, but in the long run I think you'd be better off with a disc swap. I ran a booster w/ drums for a little while and it made a tremendous difference in pedal effort (obviously) but it still didn't stop as well as I would have liked. I've been very happy with the results since my disc swap. My truck stops better than our '05 Corolla. My vote is for the disc upgrade; good luck with whatever yiou decide.
