Pass side dash noise?? solution!!

MY 2000 Z71 would make this strange tapping noise on the pass side--almost as if there was some junk ratteling around in the defrost vent!! Been doing it for 2 years. Found that the rubber moulding that spans from the windshield to the right windshield frame would bounce on the windshield with the wind when doing 50+. I applied a length of black electricians tape from the top to the bottom covering the gap and NO MORE NOISE!!!

Re: Pass side dash noise?? solution!!

Do you have a bugshield? Those will amplify the noise. There is a heavier weight upper windshield molding that will cut down on the noise, without having to tape the molding down.
