Re: 20/22 coys with 4.5/6 drop?

Welcome to the board from Mid-MO!

Check out my build thread (Project Blank Slate) in my signature for the complete install of a 4.5/6" drop kit, as well as determining the correct BS to run 20x8.5 and 20x10's on a '69 SWB.

One thing you didn't mention is what year of truck you are working on. From '67-mid 70's the rearends were narrower than the rearend of the '71 and '72 trucks due to the introduction of disc brakes from the factory. If you are working on a '67-70 remember that when adding disc brakes to the front, the front will have a wider track by 1.5" than it did with drums.

The only thing I can recommend is that for your to measure your truck for the specific backspacing for your 20/22 combo. Each truck is designed a little differently depending on the spindle used up front (CPP modular, standard drop spindle), rearend widths, etc.

Do NOT just take the measurements used by someone else... you will pay the price. Take them as guidance...

Give us some more info on your project.

Here's a shot of my '69 running the 4.5/6" drop kit:
