One Ton Swaybar Issues...

I recently parted out and crushed a 1985 C30, regular cab dually and kept the 1.25" front swaybar for my current 84 C10. After getting it cleaned up, painted and adding new poly bushings, the bar is nowhere near close to mounting. My brother and I have each had one-ton swaybars on our C10's in the past, but I don't remember them being this much trouble.

With the bar mounted to the frame perches, the bushings are at the wrong angle to mount to the lower control arms. I can pry on the mounts and get one bolt in each, but the other is about an inch away. Almost like this bar is bent to a different angle.

Were there different bends for these bars/models, or am I doing something wrong?

Sounds like you might have the bar upside down. Don't scoff, it's an easy mistake. I did it on the last one I installed. When flipped over, everything magically lined up.

I guess that is what I get for being rushed and trying to get too much done in one warm day. Thanks for the advice, I will flip the bar and see what happens.
