46 down interior sun visors - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Has anyone installed interior sun visors in their 46 down gm truck? If so what model year did you use and please show pics if possible. Also mention any additional supports you added and if on oem steel or aftermarket fiberglass header panel.

there is actually factory installed interior sunvisors on these trucks. at least on the driver side. the mounting holes are in the steel header panel. they were not very comminaly installed from what i have seen from the trucks i have seen/bought. i have seen some aftermarket visors available.

Yea, I saw the sunvisor suppot in Chevs of the 40's but not the sun visor itself. I did use 67 supports and visors in the 46 but I think I will use the 46 supports in the 42 and see if the 47-53 visors will work or the 67s.

you are right, i have never seen an actual sun visor from one of these trucks just the supports.I am going to find out what they are supposed to look like.

i wonder if the sun visor frame from a 40 ford would work? they look very similar.
