My outer rockers are good condition, but I do need new floor pans in my 1960 Suburban. I can get pics if needed, but they are shot to the kickpanel on the sides. I believe the tunnel is fine.

Is it best to just buy the individual sides or the entire floor section? And where would you buy them from?

On that note, I need to re-wire the interior (could do engine bay as well, but I cleaned that up when I got her running). What's the best harness to get?

Then to combine these, has anyone ripped out the floor pans, then re-wired using the nice large holes in the floor to get up into the dash from underneath? I have a 4 post lift, so I'm thinking if tough to get under the dash, that might make it easier. Is that a crazy idea? Would it even work?

I pieced in places on my 61 truck, if I could redo it I would have done a one piece floor. I have not used a one piece floor so I don't know on the brands. I'm sure it's like every other aftermarket sheet metal and will probably need some work. I usually buy from LMC and classic parts. LMC gives a discount if you order the day before and pick up in person.

I found it pretty easy to wire the cab/dash with the seat out. I also removed the gauge panel and wired everything so that I could plug it all in when I re-installed it.

I just redid the wiring harness in my 65 gmc 5000 last summer. I got a universal GM wiring harness through painless wiring. It was super easy, all the wires were labeled and it came with a detailed instruction book.

I replaced most all of the wiring on my '64 with harnesses from American Autowire. They have stock restoration harnesses, update harnesses with more circuits, and full custom kits. I used stock restoration kits, but with a couple of custom options for passenger-side alternator and HEI. Pretty much plug and play. I've linked their website, but their products can be bought from other suppliers as well, sometimes a couple of bucks cheaper.

The floor of the suburban is different than the trucks. So depending on where your issues are you may be piecing it anyway.
