Porterbuilt Lower Control Arms

I will call Nate Monday but just thought I would ask here first. Anyone had any issues installing the balljoints into the lower arms? Is it possible the balljoints I have from Nate aren't the right year for the arms? I ordered the control arms for the 73+ but I'll be damned if I can get them to press in. Its almost like the bore is too small. Just a side not I have done thousands of balljoints as a wrench and with my press I have never had this issue. Any input or suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Porterbuilt Lower Control Arms

do you have a caliper?

rule of thumb for press fit is .001" per 1 of dia. so if the bj measures 2" then the cup should be around 1.998. ofcourse there will be some tolerances here.

just a way to check and see if your close and to give you something to look at while Nate checks this out.
