WIW - 1972 Titan 90 Diesel Owners Manual

Well I am wondering what one of these is worth. First, there are probably less than 100 Titan 90 trucks left. IIRC a Titan truck is 70/80/90 series that is a COE(cab over engine). I would think that this manual would be worth a LOT. Because of it's extreme rarity. All help appreciated.

Re: WIW - 1972 Titan 90 Diesel Owners Manual

I would guess there are more than 100 still around. Just because something is rare doesn't mean it is worth alot. I would guess in good condition $15-$20. Hope this helps.

Re: WIW - 1972 Titan 90 Diesel Owners Manual

I doubt there are many who own Titans who would really care to have one unless they are affectionately connected to the rig after spending a million miles in it and it`s thier pride and joy. Most prolly still have their manuals.Of the ones left, few are chosen for restoration and are a cheap hauler.
Owners manuals are worth $10-$25 for whatever vehicle.Where did you get the hundred or less figure?

I just threw it out there, considering I travel a LOT and have never seen one. And my dad hasn't seen any in over 15 years. Last he saw one was back when he was a trucker. I wish it were worth more. I was hoping I could buy it then resell it for lots.

There may not be many in your area. But,I still see them.I didn`t know you have had an oppotunity to travel so much, other than rolling down to FL from NC.I know you thought everything in maryland was rusty. So,I figured you`ve never been here.

Not sure but if you want to sell it put it on ebay for .99 and see how much it will fetch. One never knows. I've seen things go for out of this world prices. Good Luck.

Re: WIW - 1972 Titan 90 Diesel Owners Manual

I'd put it on the bay, but the guy wants $60 for it and I dont want to spend the $$ if I might not get it back.

No problem, I actually drive to upstate NY about twice a year. I know not everything is rusty. My uncle is an owner operator and owns his own business/shop. Mechanics down this way dont know what real rust is, up there you need a tetanus shot after working under a cancer filled truck.

Re: WIW - 1972 Titan 90 Diesel Owners Manual

Who reads owners manuals?I read mine after 30 or so years for historic purposes? It`s just a neat thing to have in the glovebox, now, like window stickers and Protecto-Plates.

Re: WIW - 1972 Titan 90 Diesel Owners Manual

WIWs have their place......right here.

Sometimes we let them slide if a guy is asking about a truck he is looking to purchase, but for gauging the price of something to sell, it goes in WIW.
